What is volcano dominican republic?

There are no active volcanoes in the Dominican Republic. The island of Hispaniola (which the Dominican Republic shares with Haiti) was formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago, but there have been no known eruptions in historic times. However, there are several thermal springs and geysers on the island that are a result of the geothermal energy generated by the dormant volcanoes. These include the famous "Banos de San Juan" (San Juan Hot Springs) in the north-central region of the Dominican Republic.
